Skin overview

FAMAS | Contrast Spray is a Consumer Grade finish that covers the rifle in short, thick freehand strokes of pale cream and muted grey-brown. In Factory New the sprayed strokes keep their soft edges, and the whole rifle reads as an even, light camouflage. This is the cleanest version of a simple, understated skin.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, carry handle, handguard and stock are covered in a light cream base with short, thick strokes of greyish taupe sprayed diagonally across them. The pistol grip, trigger guard and magazine carry the same pattern, so the rifle reads as one continuous pale camouflage. The barrel, muzzle device and small metal parts such as the cocking handle stay dark grey and contrast with the light body. On worn copies the paint first goes from the top edge of the carry handle, the corners of the stock, the bottom of the magazine and the front of the handguard, exposing dark metal underneath.

The paint is intact on every part, including the carry handle edge and the magazine base. The float range of this skin starts slightly above the cleanest possible value, so Factory New copies sit in a narrow band and look nearly identical to one another. In game the pale strokes look soft and even across the whole rifle. Nothing on the receiver, stock or grip shows chipping.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

• Check the top edge of the carry handle and the bottom of the magazine, since these show wear first on this finish.
• Within Field-Tested and lower grades, look at the float position, as low floats keep noticeably more cream paint than high ones.
• The sprayed strokes vary in placement between copies, so look at the inspect view if you want a particular look on the stock or receiver.
• For Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and how worn they are.
