Skin overview

Eye of Athena is recognised by its orange and red feather pattern and the mechanical owl worked into the stock. In Field-Tested the busy pattern hides scuffs well, so light wear on the carry handle and magazine edges blends into the feathers. At normal play distance the rifle still reads as a warm, detailed painting.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The base of the rifle is a dark teal-grey, covered almost everywhere with curved feather shapes in orange, red, brown and yellow. The stock holds the main motif: the mechanized owl with round yellow-orange eyes surrounded by layered feathers.

Scuffs spread along the carry handle, the muzzle and the magazine edges, with some fading on the receiver corners. The owl on the stock is still clear, though its outer feathers may show light marks. At normal distance the wear mostly disappears into the pattern. The grip and the central stock remain clean.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in orange, gold, brown or dark teal sit well with the feathered artwork. Placements on the receiver side work better than on the stock, where they would cover the owl.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep more of the owl artwork.
  • Inspect the top of the carry handle and the magazine edges, which lose paint first.
  • Check the owl's eyes on the stock, as they are the focal point of the design.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they suit the warm palette.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the design in their loadout, since the busy pattern hides wear.
  • Buyers looking for a mid-range copy that still looks good in game.
  • The practical pick for everyday play.
