Skin overview

Halftone Wash covers the FAMAS in a grey and white halftone splash with blue fittings, a pattern that keeps its character even when damaged. Because the skin's float range stops early, Battle-Scarred copies are worn on the edges and raised parts but do not lose the whole pattern. It is the cheapest way into this design with a noticeably rough look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and stock are painted mid grey with a pale, dotted halftone wash that spreads in uneven splashes, overlaid with thin dark contour lines. The carry handle repeats the grey base with a lighter speckled texture along its sides.

Every edge and raised part shows chipping, from the carry handle and muzzle to the magazine and stock corners. The halftone wash is patchy on the handguard and magazine, and the blue accents are worn. Because the float range ends early, the flatter areas of the receiver and stock keep a good part of the pattern. In game the rifle looks rough but still identifiable as Halftone Wash.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5

The whole float range of FAMAS | Halftone Wash is 0–0.5; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.5 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

FAMAS | Halftone Wash belongs to The Graphic Design Collection, which holds 16 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Blue, white, silver and grey stickers match the halftone wash and the blue fittings. Holo or foil stickers in cool tones fit the stock and the side of the receiver, while warm bright colours tend to clash with the calm palette.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits inside its wear grade, since lower values within a grade keep the carry handle and magazine cleaner.
  • Look at the top of the carry handle and the magazine base first, as these parts chip before the rest of the rifle.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir, since that changes how it looks with any applied stickers.
  • Review any stickers and name tag, because they stay with the item.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget players looking for the cheapest entry into this skin.
  • Buyers who want a rough look but still a recognisable pattern.
  • Conclusion: the most affordable copy, worn but not stripped bare.
