Skin overview

Halftone Wash is recognisable by its muted grey-and-white splash pattern broken up by dark contour lines, a calm finish without loud colours. In Field-Tested the wash begins to lose paint on the carry handle and other protruding edges, though the pattern still reads clearly in first-person view. A sensible middle option for regular play.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and stock are painted mid grey with a pale, dotted halftone wash that spreads in uneven splashes, overlaid with thin dark contour lines. The carry handle repeats the grey base with a lighter speckled texture along its sides.

Paint loss becomes visible on the carry handle, the magazine base and the front edge of the handguard. The finest dots of the halftone wash start to fade in those areas. The central receiver and the sides of the stock still look mostly clean. In first-person view the rifle reads as lightly used, with the pattern clearly recognisable.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of FAMAS | Halftone Wash ranges from 0 to 0.5; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 46% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Graphic Design Collection with 16 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 7 skins of the FAMAS in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Blue, white, silver and grey stickers match the halftone wash and the blue fittings. Holo or foil stickers in cool tones fit the stock and the side of the receiver, while warm bright colours tend to clash with the calm palette.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits inside its wear grade, since lower values within a grade keep the carry handle and magazine cleaner.
  • Look at the top of the carry handle and the magazine base first, as these parts chip before the rest of the rifle.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir, since that changes how it looks with any applied stickers.
  • Review any stickers and name tag, because they stay with the item.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want a CT rifle skin for regular use.
  • Buyers who care about how the pattern reads in first-person view rather than close-up details.
  • Conclusion: a balanced choice between look and cost.
