Skin overview

Field-Tested is where the FAMAS starts to show use: scuffs appear on the carry handle and other edges, and the red outlines break up in places. The rainbow stripes and the black base still carry the design, so the skin stays easy to recognise in a match.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The whole FAMAS is covered in a matte black and charcoal base, with thin red outlines tracing the carry handle, receiver and trigger guard. A rainbow stripe of red, yellow, green and cyan runs across the carry handle and repeats on the side of the receiver above the grip.

Scuffs become visible on the carry handle, the muzzle and the corners of the magazine and stock. The red outlines start to break in places, and the stripe on the handle may show small chips. The side stripe on the receiver and the lettering on the stock generally stay readable, so the design still reads clearly in game.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of FAMAS | ZX Spectron is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in red, yellow, green or cyan echo the rainbow stripe, while plain black or holo stickers keep the dark body clean. Placing them along the receiver or stock, away from the stripes, keeps the retro-computer motif readable.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the cleaner end of a grade keep the stripes and red outlines noticeably better.
• Inspect the carry handle stripe and the muzzle first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
• Look at the red outlines along the receiver and trigger guard, because broken lines change the clean retro look quickly.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they suit the black and rainbow scheme.
