Show allAllSkin overview
This wear keeps the full retro-computer look: a dark body, multicoloured stripes and red trim lines. Any marks are tiny and sit on the outer edges, so in hand the rifle looks practically new. It is the grade for buyers who want a clean ZX Spectron without paying for a perfect one.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The whole FAMAS is covered in a matte black and charcoal base, with thin red outlines tracing the carry handle, receiver and trigger guard. A rainbow stripe of red, yellow, green and cyan runs across the carry handle and repeats on the side of the receiver above the grip.
Light marks may appear on the top edge of the carry handle and on the muzzle. The stripes and red trim remain intact, and the black base stays even across the receiver and stock. At normal in-game distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of FAMAS | ZX Spectron is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Operation Riptide Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Operation Riptide Case.
What it costs in each quality
Compared with the Minimal Wear quality, the others go like this:
- Factory New — 5.9× dearer
- Field-Tested — 1.7× cheaper
- Well-Worn — 2.3× cheaper
- Battle-Scarred — 2.3× cheaper
Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.
Among 8 skins of the FAMAS in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 7th by price, counting from the dearest.
StatTrak™ and Souvenir
This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 2× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in red, yellow, green or cyan echo the rainbow stripe, while plain black or holo stickers keep the dark body clean. Placing them along the receiver or stock, away from the stripes, keeps the retro-computer motif readable.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the cleaner end of a grade keep the stripes and red outlines noticeably better.
- Inspect the carry handle stripe and the muzzle first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
- Look at the red outlines along the receiver and trigger guard, because broken lines change the clean retro look quickly.
- Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they suit the black and rainbow scheme.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-new look and do not need a perfect copy.
- Sticker crafts where tiny edge marks will not be noticed.
- A sensible middle ground between condition and cost.
