Skin overview

G3SG1 | Contractor is a Consumer Grade finish that splits the sniper rifle into spray-painted blocks of tan, navy and dark green. In Factory New every painted part holds an even, matte coat. The tan stock and grip stand out cleanly against the darker receiver and scope.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The upper receiver, handguard and scope are painted dark green, while the barrel, muzzle and magazine stay in darker grey-navy tones. The stock, pistol grip, charging handle and scope mount are covered in a matte tan, giving the rear of the rifle a light accent. There is no pattern: each part simply carries its own solid spray-painted colour. On worn copies the paint goes first at the muzzle, the edges of the handguard and receiver, the scope tube ends and the grip, then spreads to the corners of the stock and the magazine.

All parts keep a full, even coat of paint, including the muzzle and the edges of the handguard. The tan stock and grip look uniform with no lighter spots. In game the rifle reads as clean, flat colour blocks. Factory New copies of this skin do not reach the very bottom of the float scale, but the difference is not visible.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of G3SG1 | Contractor is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

G3SG1 | Contractor belongs to The Baggage Collection, which holds 15 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

• Note whether the copy is a Souvenir, as such versions may carry pre-applied stickers.
• Check applied stickers and the name tag, since they change the look of a plain solid-colour finish.
