G3SG1 | Murky is a dark, low-contrast finish: a slate-grey base with a black leopard-spot pattern on the handguard and scope tube. In Factory New the spots keep crisp edges and the anodized surfaces have an even, slightly glossy sheen. It suits buyers who want the subdued look in its most complete form.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The handguard and the scope tube carry the main pattern: black leopard spots over a slate-grey anodized base. The receiver, barrel and stock are finished in dark gunmetal grey, while the pistol grip stays black. The magazine is a dull olive-grey metal that blends with the rest of the rifle. On worn copies the finish rubs off first on the muzzle, the front sight, the edges of the handguard and the rim of the scope, where lighter metal begins to show.
The surfaces are clean, and the leopard spots on the handguard and scope keep sharp outlines. The anodized grey has a uniform sheen with no exposed metal on the muzzle or sights. In game the rifle looks solid and dark from every angle. Every part of the weapon looks untouched.

The whole float range of G3SG1 | Murky is 0–0.25; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (28% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Which stickers suit it
Monochrome, silver or holographic stickers keep the dark, subdued look of the finish intact. A single accent in a cold colour such as blue or teal on the receiver can work well against the grey without breaking the overall tone.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the lower end of a grade look cleaner on the muzzle and sights.
- Inspect the edges of the handguard and the scope rim, as these show the first scuffs on this finish.
- Look at applied stickers and the name tag, because bright additions stand out strongly against the dark palette.
- The leopard pattern shifts little between copies, so focus on wear rather than on pattern placement.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the leopard pattern and anodized sheen without any marks.
- Sticker crafters who need a clean dark base for a monochrome or silver craft.
- Factory New is the choice for those who value a fully clean finish.
