Skin overview

Murky dresses the G3SG1 in dark gunmetal with a black leopard pattern, so the whole rifle stays muted and even in tone. Because the float range is narrow, Field-Tested here is a mild grade: light scuffs appear on edges, but the pattern remains readable. The dark palette hides much of this wear at normal distance.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The handguard and the scope tube carry the main pattern: black leopard spots over a slate-grey anodized base. The receiver, barrel and stock are finished in dark gunmetal grey, while the pistol grip stays black.

Light scuffs spread along the muzzle, the front sight, the handguard edges and the scope rim, showing lighter metal underneath. The leopard spots stay recognisable, though their edges can look slightly softer in places. In game the dark tones mask most of the wear, and the rifle still reads as an even dark finish. The stock and the centre of the handguard usually stay the cleanest.

Stickers and crafts

Monochrome, silver or holographic stickers keep the dark, subdued look of the finish intact. A single accent in a cold colour such as blue or teal on the receiver can work well against the grey without breaking the overall tone.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the lower end of a grade look cleaner on the muzzle and sights.
  • Inspect the edges of the handguard and the scope rim, as these show the first scuffs on this finish.
  • Look at applied stickers and the name tag, because bright additions stand out strongly against the dark palette.
  • The leopard pattern shifts little between copies, so focus on wear rather than on pattern placement.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Budget buyers looking for an affordable entry into this finish.
  • Players who use the rifle in matches, where the dark tones hide light scuffs.
  • Field-Tested gives the recognisable look with only mild wear on this skin.
