Skin overview

Sandstorm pairs a peach-beige body with drifting purple shapes across the handguard, magazine and stock. In Field-Tested the overall colour contrast holds up well, while light scuffs start to appear on edges and the front of the gun. It is the common middle ground for this rifle.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver and handguard are covered in a light beige to peach base with purple streaks flowing along the length of the rifle. The magazine carries long vertical bands of purple over sand colour, and the pistol grip is mostly purple.

Small scratches appear on the front of the handguard, the top rail area and the lower edge of the magazine. The beige base loses a little brightness, but the purple pattern stays readable. At normal viewing distance the wear is hard to notice. The stock and grip still look mostly clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Galil AR | Sandstorm is 0.1–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Galil AR | Sandstorm belongs to The Winter Offensive Collection, which holds 13 skins.

The source is Winter Offensive Weapon Case (on sale since Dec 18, 2013).

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in purple, lilac, gold or warm sand tones blend with the artwork. Placing them on the receiver side keeps the brighter handguard pattern visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since lower values keep the beige brighter.
  • Look at the handguard edges and magazine, which lose paint first.
  • Compare screenshots of several copies, as the hydrographic print places the purple streaks differently.
  • Check any applied stickers or name tag if you plan your own craft.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a neat look without paying for the cleanest grade.
  • Buyers who rarely inspect the gun closely.
  • A balanced option between look and cost.
