Skin overview

M249 | Jungle in Battle-Scarred is the most weathered version of this green-and-tan spray paint job. Large patches of dark metal break through on the receiver, the barrel area and the ammo box. Green remains on the flat surfaces, so the jungle scheme is still recognisable under the damage.

Item type: machinegun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, the top cover and the handguard area are painted a bright, slightly minty jungle green. The long barrel, the ammo box and the stock are finished in a tan, khaki shade.

Large areas of bare metal cover the receiver, the top cover, the ammo box and the barrel. The tan stock is heavily scuffed along its edges. In game the green reads darker and broken up, but the two-tone scheme is still visible. Only the larger flat surfaces keep solid patches of paint.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The float of M249 | Jungle ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

M249 | Jungle belongs to The St. Marc Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in green, olive, brown or tan tones blend with the jungle scheme. Placements on the green receiver side stand out most, while muted stickers on the tan parts keep the look calm.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep more paint on the receiver edges.
  • Inspect the corners of the ammo box and the top cover, as these lose paint first.
  • Look at whether the copy is a Souvenir version and what stickers it already carries.
  • Check for a name tag or applied stickers that may change how the green receiver reads.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Fans of heavily worn, battle-damaged finishes.
  • The cheapest way to put the jungle scheme on the M249.
  • For those who want character and wear rather than clean colour.
