Show allAllSkin overview
M249 | Magma covers the machine gun in near-black oxidised metal broken up by red and copper veins that look like cooling lava. In Factory New the dark base is deep and even, and the red pattern keeps its full saturation on every panel. This is the grade for buyers who want the contrast between black and red as sharp as it gets.
Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The receiver, feed cover and handguard are finished in near-black oxidised metal with an irregular web of red and copper veins resembling cracked magma. The same pattern runs down the stock and pistol grip, where the red patches are spread more widely across the larger surfaces. The barrel stays dark grey with little visible pattern, and the ammo box is left in a plain pale green that stands out against the dark gun. On worn copies the red pattern fades first on the edges of the receiver, the carry handle and sight, the front of the handguard and the corners of the stock, where lighter bare metal starts to show.
The dark base is uniform and the red veins are at full strength across the receiver, handguard and stock. Edges of the carry handle, sight and stock corners show no exposed metal. In game the red pattern stays readable at normal distance against the black finish. Everything on the painted parts looks clean.
Factory New wear: float 0–0.07
The whole float range of M249 | Magma is 0–0.7; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (10% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Which stickers suit it
Red, gold and black stickers continue the magma theme and sit well on the dark receiver. Holographic or foil stickers in warm tones stand out against the black base, while bright blue or green ones clash with the red veins.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade show noticeably more bare metal on the edges.
- Look at the carry handle, sight and stock corners in the inspect view, as these lose the red pattern first.
- Compare how much red remains on the receiver and stock, because the pattern placement makes some copies look brighter than others in the same wear.
- Note any stickers or name tag already applied and whether they fit the dark red scheme.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the red veins at full saturation on every part.
- Sticker crafters who need a clean dark base for warm-toned stickers.
- The choice for the sharpest version of the magma look.
