Show allAllSkin overview
Aeolian Dark is a restrained grey-on-grey M4A4 finish with a tangled, wind-like line pattern. In Field-Tested the light coating starts to break on edges and corners. The finish reads a little rougher, but the knot motif is still easy to recognise.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The finish covers the handguard, upper and lower receiver and the stock with an off-white base crossed by dark grey and black knotted lines. The pattern is densest on the receiver and handguard, where the lines form an abstract, interwoven weave.
Wear spreads along the magazine edges, the front of the handguard and the receiver corners, where bits of darker metal show through. The pale base looks slightly dulled in places. In game the rifle still reads as light grey with a dark pattern, only less even. The middle of the receiver and the stock surfaces mostly keep their pattern.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of M4A4 | Aeolian Dark is 0–0.65; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (35% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
M4A4 | Aeolian Dark belongs to The Achroma Collection, which holds 20 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Stickers and crafts
Monochrome, holo silver or black-and-white stickers keep the grayscale look intact. A single accent colour such as red or teal placed on the receiver stands out well against the pale base. Busy, multicoloured stickers tend to clash with the dense knot pattern.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since lower values keep the pale base and magazine edges cleaner.
- Inspect the magazine edges and the front of the handguard, as these lose the light coating first.
- Look at the receiver closely, because that is where the knot pattern is densest and most visible in hand.
- If you consider a Souvenir copy, view its applied stickers in inspect, as they cannot be removed without scraping.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the recognisable grayscale look in everyday matches.
- Budget buyers who accept some edge wear on a busy pattern.
- Those who like a slightly used, practical feel on a CT rifle.
- A balanced everyday option.
