Show allAllSkin overview
Ultraviolet is recognisable by its plain blocks of colour: no pattern, just dark grey metal and bright purple parts. In Field-Tested the purple starts to show chipped edges on the muzzle, trigger guard and stock wire, while the large surfaces still read as solid colour. From normal distance it looks like a used but cared-for gun.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The receiver is painted a flat dark grey close to black, with its ridges and side details kept in the same tone. Purple covers the barrel tip and muzzle, the grip, the trigger guard, the sling mount and the folded wire stock, so the accents frame the dark box from front to back.
Chips become visible on the muzzle, trigger guard and stock wire, and the receiver corners and ridges start to show lighter metal. The flat sides of the receiver and most of the grip still look like solid colour. In game the scheme reads clearly, with some roughness on the edges. Lower floats in this grade look noticeably cleaner than higher ones.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of MAC-10 | Ultraviolet ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
MAC-10 | Ultraviolet belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).
Price by quality
By price this skin is 5th of 17 skins Mil-Spec Grade MAC-10 in this quality (the first being the dearest).
StatTrak™ and Souvenir
This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 1% dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Purple, violet and holo stickers with cool tones blend well with the accents, while black and silver ones sit quietly on the dark receiver. A single bright sticker placed on the flat side of the receiver contrasts well against the plain grey surface.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a solid colour finish shows every chip and a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn looks much cleaner.
- Look at the muzzle, stock wire and trigger guard in the inspect view, as these purple parts lose paint first.
- Pattern does not matter for this skin, so judge copies by float, stickers and name tag only.
- Make sure any applied stickers fit the dark-and-purple scheme, because they stand out strongly on the plain receiver.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the purple scheme for everyday use.
- Buyers who pick a low float to get a cleaner look in this grade.
- Conclusion: a balanced choice between appearance and cost.
