Skin overview

MP5-SD | Acid Wash is a dark metallic blue SMG finish with an acid-etched, mottled texture and brass hardware. In Factory New the blue topcoat is complete, so the etched blotches on the suppressor and receiver read crisply and the brass sights and fittings stand out cleanly against the dark metal.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The long integrated suppressor is coated in dark metallic blue with a blotchy acid-etched pattern of lighter and brownish patches. The handguard is black with a fine ribbed texture, while the receiver carries the same etched blue as the suppressor. Brass hardware accents the rear sight drum, front sight, charging handle, fire selector and small fittings on the receiver. The curved magazine is dark blue-grey, and the grip and retracted stock are black. On worn copies the blue topcoat thins first on the suppressor muzzle, the receiver edges, the magazine corners and the raised parts of the sights.

The blue topcoat is intact on every part, and the etched pattern on the suppressor and receiver has clear contrast. The brass fittings look bright and even. In game the weapon reads as a deep blue gun with warm accents. Nothing shows bare metal.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since lower floats keep more blue on the suppressor and receiver edges.
  • Look at the suppressor muzzle and magazine corners in the inspect view, as they lose the coat first.
  • Make sure any applied stickers or name tag fit the dark blue and brass scheme.
  • Compare StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions if a counter or souvenir status matters to you.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the etched blue pattern at full contrast.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean dark base for gold accents.
  • The choice for the most complete look of this finish.
