Skin overview

Clear Polymer turns the Nova into a cutaway-style shotgun, with a translucent grey shell over springs and green-lit parts. In Field-Tested the edges and protruding details start to lose paint, so the glassy surface gets a slightly used, handled look. The overall see-through motif is still easy to recognise at normal distance.

Item type: shotgun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The whole Nova is covered in a pale grey-blue, glass-like finish that imitates a transparent casing. Through the forend a coiled spring is drawn around the magazine tube, and the receiver shows internal parts with bright green highlights.

In Field-Tested the muzzle and forend edges show clear scuffs, and wear spreads to the corners of the receiver and the bottom edge of the stock. The central parts of the receiver and the green accents are still mostly readable. In game the skin looks used but the transparent motif is easy to make out.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Nova | Clear Polymer is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Nova | Clear Polymer belongs to The Operation Broken Fang Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is Operation Broken Fang Case.

What it costs in each quality

Taking Field-Tested as the baseline:

Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.

By price this skin is 6th of 12 skins Restricted Nova in this quality (the first being the dearest).

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 1.6× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Green, silver or holographic stickers match the green highlights and glassy grey-blue shell. Placing them on the receiver keeps the drawn springs on the forend and grip visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the see-through effect depends heavily on clean edges.
  • Look at the muzzle, the forend edges and the bottom of the stock, as these lose paint first.
  • Make sure the green accents on the receiver and near the muzzle are still visible on worn copies.
  • Check applied stickers and name tag, as bright or busy stickers can clash with the clean transparent look.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a recognisable Nova for regular matches.
  • Buyers who do not mind visible scuffs on the edges.
  • A practical everyday grade with the motif still clear.
