Show allAllSkin overview
The skin's idea is simple and readable: a Nova whose shell seems to be clear plastic, with the inner workings and green highlights visible underneath. At Minimal Wear the see-through look is practically intact, and any marks are limited to small spots near the edges. For most players it looks the same as a clean copy in game while costing less to own.
Item type: shotgun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The whole Nova is covered in a pale grey-blue, glass-like finish that imitates a transparent casing. Through the forend a coiled spring is drawn around the magazine tube, and the receiver shows internal parts with bright green highlights.
Minimal Wear can show small scratches near the muzzle and on the sharpest edges of the forend. The receiver, the drawn springs and the stock remain clean. At normal distance in game these marks are barely visible, and the see-through look stays intact.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Nova | Clear Polymer is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Nova | Clear Polymer belongs to The Operation Broken Fang Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Operation Broken Fang Case.
What it costs in each quality
Taking Minimal Wear as the baseline:
- Factory New — 1.5× dearer
- Field-Tested — 3.8× cheaper
- Well-Worn — 4.7× cheaper
- Battle-Scarred — 4.6× cheaper
Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.
Among 13 skins of the Nova in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.
StatTrak™ and Souvenir
There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 32% cheaper than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Green, silver or holographic stickers match the green highlights and glassy grey-blue shell. Placing them on the receiver keeps the drawn springs on the forend and grip visible.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the see-through effect depends heavily on clean edges.
- Look at the muzzle, the forend edges and the bottom of the stock, as these lose paint first.
- Make sure the green accents on the receiver and near the muzzle are still visible on worn copies.
- Check applied stickers and name tag, as bright or busy stickers can clash with the clean transparent look.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-clean look in game at a lower cost than Factory New.
- Crafters who accept tiny marks on the edges.
- A sensible balance between appearance and price.
