The whole body of the P90 is finished in dark gunmetal grey with a fine mottled, grainy texture that imitates rough sheet metal. Light, polished seam lines run along the panel joints of the shell, around the openings of the grip and along the top rail, giving the look of parts welded together. The barrel, sights and small fittings keep a bright steel sheen that contrasts with the darker body. There is no colour accent, so the finish works through texture and highlights alone. On worn copies the coating first rubs off the sharp edges of the shell, the rims of the grip openings, the sights and the front of the barrel.

The coating is intact over the whole weapon, including the edges of the shell and the sights. The weld seams are crisp and the grainy texture is even across all panels. In game the gun reads as a clean dark P90 with bright steel details. Nothing on the body looks rubbed.
