Skin overview
Cobalt Grip is a single-accent skin: the revolver's metal stays stock, and only the grip is painted blue-violet with a stippled surface. In Battle-Scarred much of that paint is rubbed away from the ridges and edges, the remaining colour sits in the recesses, and the steel carries heavy grime. It is the roughest take on the skin, suited to a worn, utilitarian look.
Item type: pistol. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, barrel, top rail, under-barrel rail and cylinder keep a polished gunmetal steel finish with a faint cool blue tint in the reflections. The trigger guard and hammer stay in the same bare metal.
Large parts of the grip paint are worn away, especially on all raised areas and edges, leaving colour mainly in the grooves and texture. The steel is heavily grimed and has lost most of its polish. In game the grip reads as a faded, patchy blue against dark metal. The overall shape and textured surface remain readable, but nothing looks clean.

Stickers and crafts
Blue, violet and silver stickers repeat the grip colour and the steel frame and keep the weapon cohesive. Placing them along the side of the frame or barrel works best, since the rest of the revolver is plain metal and leaves room for a clear accent.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the ridges between the finger grooves and the bottom edge of the grip, since paint loss shows there first.
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, as a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn keeps noticeably more grip colour.
- There is no pattern variation that matters on this skin, so judge copies by wear and stickers only.
- Review any applied stickers and name tag, because they affect how the plain steel frame looks.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Buyers who want the lowest-cost version of the skin.
- Players who prefer a heavily used, gritty look.
- Collectors who gather every wear of the skin.
- Conclusion: for those who value a rough look or a full wear set over a clean grip.
