Skin overview

Sawed-Off | Crimson Batik is a hydrographic finish that covers the shotgun in a crimson and black banana leaf pattern, set off by a plain red forend and stock. In Factory New the dark leaf lines stay crisp against the red, and the solid red parts have an even, unbroken colour. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the pattern exactly as designed.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Factory New

The barrel, the receiver and the area around the trigger guard are covered with a crimson base overlaid with dark grey-black batik lines that form looping banana leaf shapes. The ribbed pump forend and the pistol-grip stock are finished in solid matte red with no pattern, which frames the busy print in the middle. The magazine tube between forend and receiver, the trigger guard and the muzzle stay dark metal. On worn copies the print first rubs off at the muzzle ring, the top edge of the barrel and the edges of the receiver, then on the ribs of the forend and the heel of the stock.

The batik lines are sharp and the crimson base is even across the barrel and receiver. The red forend and stock have a uniform surface with clean ribs. In game the gun reads as a clean, saturated red shotgun with a visible dark leaf texture. Nothing on the weapon shows rubbing.

The whole float range of Sawed-Off | Crimson Batik is 0–0.6; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, dark grey and gold stickers sit well on the crimson batik and echo its dark leaf lines. Red stickers blend into the finish for a tonal craft, while white or bright accents are best kept small so they do not fight the busy pattern on the receiver.

What to check before buying

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in a grade keeps the barrel and muzzle noticeably cleaner.
  • Check the muzzle ring, the top of the barrel and the receiver edges in the inspect view, as these lose the print first.
  • Look at any applied stickers and name tag, because they change both the look and the value of the copy.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the leaf pattern with sharp lines and an even red tone.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for a tonal red or black-and-gold set.
  • The best choice when the clean look matters most.
