Skin overview

Crimson Batik pairs a busy crimson and black leaf motif on the metal with simple red furniture, giving the Sawed-Off a warm, uniform colour. In Field-Tested the print starts to thin on the muzzle and receiver edges, while the overall red tone still holds from a normal distance. It is a practical middle ground for players who care more about the colour than about clean lines.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The barrel, the receiver and the area around the trigger guard are covered with a crimson base overlaid with dark grey-black batik lines that form looping banana leaf shapes. The ribbed pump forend and the pistol-grip stock are finished in solid matte red with no pattern, which frames the busy print in the middle.

The print thins out at the muzzle, along the top of the barrel and on the receiver edges, where bare metal begins to show through. The first scuffs appear on the forend ribs. From a normal viewing distance the gun still reads as red with a dark pattern, and the wear shows only up close. The middle of the receiver sides and most of the stock stay clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Sawed-Off | Crimson Batik is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, dark grey and gold stickers sit well on the crimson batik and echo its dark leaf lines. Red stickers blend into the finish for a tonal craft, while white or bright accents are best kept small so they do not fight the busy pattern on the receiver.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in a grade keeps the barrel and muzzle noticeably cleaner.
  • Check the muzzle ring, the top of the barrel and the receiver edges in the inspect view, as these lose the print first.
  • Look at any applied stickers and name tag, because they change both the look and the value of the copy.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who mainly want the red colour scheme on their Sawed-Off.
  • Buyers looking for an affordable everyday skin that still looks tidy in game.
  • A practical pick for regular play.
