Skin overview

Caged relies on contrast between the dark tactical body and the blue-purple panels, so it stays recognisable even with visible use. In Field-Tested the edges of the receiver and rails begin to show lighter scuffs, which suits the utilitarian style of the rifle. For many players this is the balanced middle choice.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The upper receiver carries the main colour work: a blue-to-purple gradient with teal and pinkish tints laid over a dark gunmetal base, plus small markings on the side. The long railed handguard and the barrel stay dark grey and black, which keeps the rifle looking tactical.

Light scratches spread along the rail edges, the top of the receiver and the scope tube. The gradient begins to lose saturation where the paint meets the edges. At normal distance the rifle still reads clearly, with the colour accents visible. The flat sides of the magazine and grip stay mostly clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of SCAR-20 | Caged ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in blue, purple, teal or holographic tones echo the gradient and blend well with it. Dark or black stickers on the handguard keep the tactical look, while placements near the coloured receiver panel tie the craft together.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the gradient panels change noticeably between the low and high end of a grade.
  • Look at the receiver top and the buttstock plate, as these carry the colour and lose it first.
  • Inspect the rail edges and scope tube for scratches on worn copies.
  • Check any applied stickers and name tag, and whether it is a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the skin for regular use with the colours still clearly visible.
  • Buyers who like light wear on a tactical rifle.
  • The balanced middle option.
