Skin overview

SCAR-20 | Zinc is a Consumer Grade finish that covers the sniper rifle in a mottled grayscale pattern, close to the dull sheen of galvanised metal. In Factory New the grey blotches stay crisp and even from muzzle to stock, so the rifle looks finished rather than bare. It is a plain skin, and this grade simply gets it in its tidiest form.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver and the long railed handguard are covered in a mottled grayscale pattern, with light grey patches over darker grey that give a dull galvanised look. The barrel and muzzle device stay dark, and the scope is finished in a deep grey that matches the body. The pistol grip and magazine carry the same grey tones, while the skeleton stock shows paler, almost whitish blotches on its butt plate. On worn copies the spray coat wears off first on sharp edges, the top rail, the handguard ribs and the corners of the stock.

The grey pattern is intact on every part of the rifle, from the handguard to the butt plate. Edges of the rail and stock show no scrapes. In game the weapon reads as an even, clean grey rifle. Everything looks as it does on the preview image.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of SCAR-20 | Zinc is 0–0.6; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Achroma Collection with 20 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
