SG 553 | Hypnotic (Factory New)

Skin overview

SG 553 | Hypnotic covers the rifle in black concentric rings over a pale pearl base, so the stripes seem to spiral out from the receiver. In Factory New the pearl coat keeps its soft sheen and the black lines stay sharp to their very edges. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the optical effect exactly as designed.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver carries the centre of the pattern: black rings spread outward from it over the pearl base and run onto the magazine well and the pistol grip area. The ribbed handguard and the rails are finished in a muted grey-pearl tone with darker accents in the recesses. The stock continues the stripes in thinner curved lines, and the magazine stays mostly in the pale base colour. The scheme is strictly monochrome, so the effect relies on contrast rather than colour. On worn copies, the anodized coat gives way first on the muzzle, the rail edges, the bottom of the magazine and the rear edge of the stock.

A Factory New copy shows no visible wear anywhere on the rifle. The pearl base keeps an even sheen, and the black rings have crisp borders on the receiver, the grip and the stock. In game the pattern reads as a clean, high-contrast spiral at any distance. Lower floats differ from higher ones only on close inspection.
