SG 553 | Hypnotic (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

Hypnotic is built on contrast: black stencilled stripes on a pearl coat, arranged in rings that pull the eye toward the centre of the rifle. A Minimal Wear copy shows the same pattern with only faint traces of use on the outer edges, which are hard to spot without inspecting the model. It gives the full monochrome look at the lighter of the two grades this skin comes in.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Airbrushed: a coloured coating with an airbrushed design on top; the coating holds while the design fades with wear.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The receiver carries the centre of the pattern: black rings spread outward from it over the pearl base and run onto the magazine well and the pistol grip area. The ribbed handguard and the rails are finished in a muted grey-pearl tone with darker accents in the recesses.

In Minimal Wear the first light scuffs can appear on the muzzle, the edges of the rails and the lower edge of the magazine. The pattern on the receiver and the stock stays intact, and the pearl coat still reads as clean. At normal viewing distance in game the rifle looks almost identical to Factory New. The difference mostly shows up when the weapon is inspected in the light.

The whole float range of SG 553 | Hypnotic is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Havoc Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Stickers and crafts

Black, white, silver and holographic stickers keep the monochrome scheme intact. Placing them on the handguard or the stock leaves the ring pattern on the receiver visible, while a single bright accent sticker can work as a deliberate contrast.

• Check where the float sits within the range, since this skin only exists in two close grades.
• Inspect the muzzle, rail edges and magazine bottom, where the first scuffs appear.
• Look at applied stickers and the name tag, as they change the clean monochrome look.
