Skin overview

AK-47 | Baroque Purple combines a dark muted base with a fine baroque texture that turns rough and uneven at the bottom of the wear scale. In Battle-Scarred large areas of the furniture and receiver are rubbed down, and the ornament survives only in fragments. It suits players who like a used, gritty look on a dark rifle.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The hydrographic print covers the handguard, the receiver, the pistol grip and the stock with a dense, lace-like baroque ornament on a very dark base, where the purple of the name reads as a subdued, almost greyish tint. The barrel, gas tube, front sight and rear sight stay in plain dark metal.

Large areas of the handguard, receiver and stock are rubbed down, leaving the ornament only in fragments. The edges and the stock butt are the most worn and look light and rough. In game the rifle reads as a rough, uneven dark AK with little of the baroque detail left. The magazine and plain metal parts look much the same as on cleaner grades.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Canals Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers in purple, violet, silver or gold tones match the baroque theme and stand out against the dark base. Holo or foil stickers along the receiver side work well because the surrounding print is calm and fine-grained.

• Check the float position within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn looks noticeably cleaner on the edges.
• Inspect the receiver edges and the stock butt, as these lose the print first.
• Look at any applied stickers, because they change the look of this muted, dark finish more than usual.
• Check whether the copy has a name tag and whether it suits the understated style.
