Skin overview

Baroque Purple reads as a dark, understated AK with a fine decorative texture rather than a loud design. In Field-Tested the edges of the receiver and stock start to show lighter scuffs, while the ornament on the flat surfaces remains readable. In game it still looks like a tidy, dark rifle.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The hydrographic print covers the handguard, the receiver, the pistol grip and the stock with a dense, lace-like baroque ornament on a very dark base, where the purple of the name reads as a subdued, almost greyish tint. The barrel, gas tube, front sight and rear sight stay in plain dark metal.

Lighter scuffs become visible along the receiver edges, the top of the handguard and the butt of the stock. The ornament on flat surfaces still reads well, though it looks slightly less crisp near worn spots. At normal distance the rifle stays dark and tidy, and the wear is visible mostly in inspect. The magazine and metal parts look plain as before.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of Souvenir AK-47 | Baroque Purple ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir AK-47 | Baroque Purple belongs to The Canals Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 6 skins of the AK-47 in the Industrial Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in purple, violet, silver or gold tones match the baroque theme and stand out against the dark base. Holo or foil stickers along the receiver side work well because the surrounding print is calm and fine-grained.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn looks noticeably cleaner on the edges.
  • Inspect the receiver edges and the stock butt, as these lose the print first.
  • Look at any applied stickers, because they change the look of this muted, dark finish more than usual.
  • Check whether the copy has a name tag and whether it suits the understated style.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want a tidy, dark AK for everyday matches.
  • Buyers who are fine with visible scuffs on edges in inspect.
  • A sensible middle option for regular play.
