Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the roughest version of the neon biker AK-47, where the bright artwork meets heavy wear. Large patches of paint are gone from the magazine, the edges and the stock, and the receiver scene looks scratched. The colour scheme still survives as a general impression, which makes this grade an affordable way to carry the design.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is painted in purple and magenta with a helmeted biker at its centre, surrounded by neon lines, splashes and blended shapes in pink, turquoise and blue. The handguard and the stock are turquoise fading into blue and purple, covered in a dark halftone dot pattern.

Large areas of paint are gone from the magazine, the edges of the receiver and the stock, exposing the bare metal and base layer. The biker and the NEON lettering are heavily scratched and partly broken up. In game the rifle reads as a mix of pink and turquoise with obvious damage. Only the general colour layout remains intact.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Neon Rider is 0–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (44% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir AK-47 | Neon Rider belongs to The Horizon Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Horizon Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Holographic and foil stickers in pink, purple, cyan or blue match the neon palette well. Placing stickers on the handguard keeps the biker on the receiver visible. Avoid heavy earth tones that clash with the synthwave colours.

What to check before buying

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end show noticeably fewer scuffs.
  • Inspect the magazine edges and receiver corners first, as these parts lose paint before the rest.
  • Check whether the biker on the receiver is still clean, because it is the focal point of the design.
  • Review applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the bright artwork looks.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the most affordable entry into this design.
  • Fans of a heavily used look on a bright finish.
  • An entry-level pick for those who want the recognisable colours.
