Souvenir AK-47 | Slate (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

AK-47 | Slate remains recognisable even when heavily worn, because its silhouette is dark from muzzle to stock. In Battle-Scarred the paint is broken up across the barrel, magazine and receiver, and lighter metal shows through in patches. The result looks rough and weathered, which some players prefer on a rifle with no bright colours to lose.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and dust cover are painted dark slate grey with a fine, slightly mottled texture, framed by black edges. The handguard, barrel, gas tube and front sight are black, with a raised grid texture on the lower handguard.

The paint is heavily broken up across the barrel, handguard, magazine and receiver, and the textures lose their crisp outline. The stock shows worn patches along its edges and lower line. In game the rifle reads as dark grey and weathered rather than black. Some darker areas usually remain on the flat sides of the stock and receiver.

The whole float range of Souvenir AK-47 | Slate is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

The dark receiver works as a neutral base, so single bright stickers in red, gold or white stand out well along the side above the magazine. Holo and foil stickers read clearly against the black, while matching dark or monochrome stickers keep the rifle's restrained look.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since edge scuffs on the magazine and muzzle depend on it.
• Pattern placement makes little difference on this uniform finish, so focus on float and condition instead.
• Look at applied stickers and a name tag, because on an all-dark rifle they become the most visible details.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as both exist for this skin.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

• Players who want the most budget-friendly entry into this skin.
• Fans of a rough, heavily weathered rifle.
• A choice for those who value character over a clean finish.
