Show allAllSkin overview
In Battle-Scarred the matte black finish is heavily worn, with large areas of exposed metal across the rifle. The orange stripe can be chipped, yet the design still reads as Black Box thanks to its simple layout. It is the roughest, most battered take on this minimal skin.
Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, barrel and stock are covered in flat matte black with a slightly grey cast under light. A thin orange stripe sits on the front of the receiver, next to small engraved markings, and is the only bright detail on the rifle.
Large patches of metal show across the barrel, receiver and stock, and the black survives in fragments. The orange stripe is heavily chipped. In game the rifle reads as a worn, steel-toned AWP with traces of dark paint. Recessed areas hold the last of the matte coat.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Black Box is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Spy Tech Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
By price this skin is 3rd of 6 skins Restricted AWP in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Orange, black and white stickers echo the stripe and keep the minimal look. Matte or holo stickers in muted tones work well on the receiver, while a single bright sticker near the stripe adds a second accent without clutter.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, because worn spots on this plain finish stand out against the black.
- Inspect the orange stripe on the receiver, as it is the only accent and chips are easy to notice.
- Look at the muzzle and the edges of the stock, which lose paint first.
- Review any stickers or name tag, since on such a simple finish they strongly change the overall look.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget entry players who just want this skin on their AWP.
- Fans of heavily battered, steel-toned finishes.
- Conclusion: the roughest version, for those who like a weathered look.
