Show allAllSkin overview
Black Box keeps its identity in any condition: a dark, matte AWP marked by a narrow orange stripe. In Field-Tested the paint starts to rub through on edges and raised parts, adding a used, working-tool feel. The orange stripe still reads clearly against the black.
Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver, barrel and stock are covered in flat matte black with a slightly grey cast under light. A thin orange stripe sits on the front of the receiver, next to small engraved markings, and is the only bright detail on the rifle.
Wear becomes visible on the muzzle, along the barrel edges and on the corners of the receiver and stock. The orange stripe may show slight scuffs at its edges. In game the rifle looks used but tidy, with the black still dominant. Flat panels of the receiver and stock remain mostly covered.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir AWP | Black Box ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir AWP | Black Box belongs to The Spy Tech Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Price by quality
By price this skin is 9th of 10 skins Restricted AWP in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Orange, black and white stickers echo the stripe and keep the minimal look. Matte or holo stickers in muted tones work well on the receiver, while a single bright sticker near the stripe adds a second accent without clutter.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, because worn spots on this plain finish stand out against the black.
- Inspect the orange stripe on the receiver, as it is the only accent and chips are easy to notice.
- Look at the muzzle and the edges of the stock, which lose paint first.
- Review any stickers or name tag, since on such a simple finish they strongly change the overall look.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who like a used, working-tool look.
- Buyers who want the skin mainly for play.
- Conclusion: a balanced option where the design still reads clearly.
