Skin overview

AWP | Corticera covers the sniper rifle's body in a deep blue base with green and yellow-green organic shapes that suggest a corticera tree. In Factory New the blue reads even and saturated, and the thin yellow outlines around the green forms stay sharp from muzzle side to stock. This is the grade for buyers who want the artwork exactly as designed.

Item type: sniper rifle. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver and stock are painted in a muted blue base, over which green organic shapes with yellow outlines curl around the thumbhole grip and run toward the buttstock. Along the side of the receiver sits a band of green diamond shapes framed by yellow lines, giving the pattern a woven, bark-like texture.

Factory New copies show no visible paint loss on any part of the rifle. The blue base is uniform, and the yellow outlines around the green shapes and diamonds stay crisp. Because the skin's range does not start at zero, there is no truly perfect float, but at this grade the difference cannot be seen in game. Everything from the receiver to the buttstock looks clean.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Corticera is 0.06–0.3; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (4% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir AWP | Corticera belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.

The source is eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Green, gold and yellow stickers echo the vine motif and its outlines, while dark blue or holo stickers blend into the base. Placements on the receiver above the diamond band keep the green pattern on the stock uncovered.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since a low Field-Tested copy can look close to Minimal Wear.
  • Look at the edges of the stock and the bottom of the buttstock, as these areas lose paint first.
  • Inspect the rim of the grip cut-out and the area around the magazine on more worn copies.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they suit you, since they cannot be moved to another item.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the blue and green artwork without any visible wear.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base so gold or green stickers stand out.
  • Conclusion: the choice for buyers who value a spotless finish above saving.
