Souvenir AWP | Desert Hydra (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

Desert Hydra in Battle-Scarred keeps the overall red, gold and white scheme, but the surfaces are heavily marked. The white parts look dirty and chipped, and the snake pattern on the body breaks up along the edges. It is the most affordable way to carry this AWP in game.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and stock body are painted a warm orange-red, covered with gold snakes whose bodies twist across the side panels and the grip. The barrel, scope and rear of the butt stock are finished in white with a warm cream tint, and the muzzle area carries engraved snake details.

The barrel, scope and butt stock are heavily soiled and chipped, losing most of their white brightness. Large patches of paint are worn off the edges of the body, the magazine and the muzzle, breaking up the snake outlines. Only the flat centre of the side panels keeps a fairly intact pattern. In game the rifle reads as dark and worn, with the colour scheme still visible.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.6

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Desert Hydra is 0–0.6; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.6 segment (25% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, holo gold and warm red or orange stickers blend well with the snake motif on the body. White or cream stickers placed towards the front of the receiver continue the pale barrel colour, while cold blues and greens tend to clash with the scheme.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the white barrel and scope show grime quickly as the value rises.
• Look at the edges of the stock, the magazine and the muzzle, as these lose paint first.
• Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so check whether they suit the orange and white scheme.
• Review any stickers or name tag already on the rifle before buying.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred
