Skin overview

The Gungnir pairs a spear-shaft barrel with a deep blue receiver covered in pale Norse-style knotwork, finished by an ivory stock and scope. At Minimal Wear the look is practically unchanged in game; any marks are tiny and sit on edges you rarely see from the first-person view. It keeps almost the full visual effect at a lower grade.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The barrel is dark with gold and ivory carving that runs its full length like the shaft of a spear, ending in a pale blue band with a spiral mark near the muzzle. The receiver and the front of the stock are a pearlescent navy blue covered in fine ivory knotwork and geometric ornament.

Small specks may appear on the muzzle band and the outer edges of the stock. The blue keeps its sheen and the knotwork stays complete. At normal distance in game the rifle is hard to tell apart from Factory New. The scope, receiver and barrel carving look clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Gungnir is 0–0.6; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (13% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir AWP | Gungnir belongs to The Norse Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 15 skins of the AWP in the Covert grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, holo blue and cream stickers match the finish, and a row along the dark barrel continues the spear motif. Strong reds or greens tend to clash with the calm blue and ivory scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look cleaner.
  • Inspect the ivory stock, scope rims and muzzle band, as scratches show first on the light parts.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir and which stickers come applied to it.
  • Look at any stickers and name tag to make sure they suit the blue and ivory artwork.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters who are fine with tiny edge marks hidden from view.
  • Conclusion: almost the full look at a more reasonable level.
