Skin overview

Gungnir is a blue and ivory AWP with ornate knotwork on the body and a carved spear motif along the barrel. In Well-Worn the light parts carry dark scratches and the pearlescent blue looks duller, so the rifle has a used, weathered character. The colour scheme is still readable, which keeps the skin recognisable in game.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The barrel is dark with gold and ivory carving that runs its full length like the shaft of a spear, ending in a pale blue band with a spiral mark near the muzzle. The receiver and the front of the stock are a pearlescent navy blue covered in fine ivory knotwork and geometric ornament.

The ivory stock, scope and bipod carry clear dark scratches, and the muzzle band is noticeably scuffed. The blue body looks duller and the knotwork thins out on raised areas. In game the rifle reads as used but keeps its blue and cream contrast. The flatter surfaces of the receiver still show most of the ornament.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Gungnir is 0–0.6; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Norse Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, holo blue and cream stickers match the finish, and a row along the dark barrel continues the spear motif. Strong reds or greens tend to clash with the calm blue and ivory scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade look cleaner.
  • Inspect the ivory stock, scope rims and muzzle band, as scratches show first on the light parts.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir and which stickers come applied to it.
  • Look at any stickers and name tag to make sure they suit the blue and ivory artwork.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who like a weathered look on their rifle.
  • Buyers who want the design at a lower cost than the cleaner grades.
  • Conclusion: a sensible option if visible wear does not bother you.
