Show allAllSkin overview
Queen's Gambit pairs a gold, richly patterned body with royal blue accents and a painted queen near the stock. In Field-Tested the edges of the receiver, the muzzle brake and the scope rings begin to show scuffs, while the main ornament and colours remain readable. It is a middle ground that keeps the royal theme recognisable at a more modest grade.
Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The receiver and stock are finished in gold with a dense engraved ornament that runs along the body and around the thumbhole. The barrel stays dark, contrasting with the gold muzzle brake and gold bipod legs.
Scuffs show on the muzzle brake, scope rings, bipod and the front edges of the receiver. The gold on the stock edges starts to dull in places. The central ornament on the receiver and the blue scope body still look tidy, so the rifle reads well in first person.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir AWP | Queen's Gambit ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Dead Hand Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Sealed Dead Hand Terminal.
Price by quality
Among 17 skins of the AWP in the Covert grade and this quality, this skin ranks 10th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo and foil stickers in gold or blue tones fit the royal colour scheme best. Placements along the gold receiver blend in, while a single darker sticker on the barrel side adds contrast without hiding the ornament.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float position within the wear range, because a low float keeps the muzzle brake and scope rings cleaner.
- Inspect the scope rings, bipod and receiver edges, as these parts lose gold first.
- Check the queen near the butt stock and the stock edges on worn copies.
- Check whether stickers or a name tag are applied and whether they fit your taste.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the royal theme to read clearly in game at a moderate grade.
- Buyers looking for a balance between appearance and cost.
- A balanced choice for everyday play.
