Skin overview

Even heavily worn, The Prince is identified by its gold ornament on a dark AWP with traces of red. In Battle-Scarred large parts of the filigree are rubbed away on edges and the stock, exposing bare metal in places. It suits players who like the motif but prefer a battered, old-relic look.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The barrel is dark with gold engraved bands near the muzzle and along its length, and the muzzle itself carries gold ring details. The receiver and stock are covered with dense gold filigree over a dark base, with red areas showing on the receiver, the magazine and the scope.

Large sections of the gold filigree are gone from the muzzle, scope, thumbhole rim and stock edges, with bare metal showing through. The receiver ornament survives only in fragments, and the red is faded and broken up. In game the rifle reads mostly as dark, scratched metal with scattered gold traces. Only the more sheltered surfaces keep recognisable pieces of the pattern.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.6

The float of Souvenir AWP | The Prince ranges from 0 to 0.6; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.6 — 25% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Canals Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, holo-gold and deep red stickers match the filigree and the red accents best. Dark or black stickers placed on the receiver blend with the base without breaking the ornament. Bright neon colours tend to clash with the classic dark-and-gold look.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in a worn grade keeps much more of the gold filigree.
  • Inspect the muzzle, scope edges and thumbhole rim, as these lose gold first.
  • Look at the red areas on the magazine and scope for fading on worn copies.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, since they change how the ornate artwork reads.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players who want the cheapest entry to this Covert AWP.
  • Fans of a battered relic look with traces of gold.
  • The pick for the name and silhouette rather than a clean finish.
