Skin overview

Pole Position is a racing paint job whose pale grey base, red stripes and checkered fields make it stand out on the CZ75-Auto. In Battle-Scarred the light paint is heavily worn, with bare metal and grime on the slide, muzzle and magazine, and the red lines broken in places. It suits those who like a car that has finished a long race rather than one fresh from the garage.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The slide is painted light grey to off-white, with a checkered-flag fade near the front and a bright red stripe with a dark outline tracing its lower edge. The barrel extension and frame are dark grey, and the grip carries a red contour, a light panel with a triangular emblem and a checkered pattern at the base.

Much of the pale paint on the slide, muzzle and magazine is worn through to metal and grime. The red stripes survive only in fragments and the checks are patchy. In game the light livery turns into a dark, mottled surface with flashes of red. The protected areas of the grip keep more colour than the rest of the pistol.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.7

The float of Souvenir CZ75-Auto | Pole Position ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.7 — 36% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir CZ75-Auto | Pole Position belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection, which holds 15 skins.

It drops from Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, white, black and grey stickers match the racing livery, and holographic or foil stickers in silver suit the pale slide. Placements on the light part of the slide stay readable, while very colourful stickers can clash with the strict red and grey scheme.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position within the wear range, since the pale base shows every step of wear more than darker finishes.
  • Inspect the muzzle, the slide edges and the bottom of the magazine first, as they wear before the rest of the pistol.
  • Check whether the red stripes along the slide and grip are intact or chipped.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, and whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Those who want the cheapest entry into this skin.
  • Fans of heavily worn finishes where metal shows through the paint.
  • For a battered look rather than a showroom one.
