Skin overview

Pole Position pairs a light grey body with red racing stripes, dark grey parts and checkered accents. In Field-Tested the pale paint starts to collect visible scuffs along the slide edges and the magazine, which gives the pistol a used, track-worn feel. The red lines and the checks are still clearly readable.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The slide is painted light grey to off-white, with a checkered-flag fade near the front and a bright red stripe with a dark outline tracing its lower edge. The barrel extension and frame are dark grey, and the grip carries a red contour, a light panel with a triangular emblem and a checkered pattern at the base.

Scuffs spread along the slide edges, around the muzzle and over the lower part of the magazine, and the pale base looks slightly dirty. The red stripes start to show small chips at the edges. In game the wear is visible on the light paint but the livery reads clearly. The grip panel and the central part of the slide usually stay fairly clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir CZ75-Auto | Pole Position is 0–0.7; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (33% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Chroma 2 Collection with 15 skins in total.

The source is Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, white, black and grey stickers match the racing livery, and holographic or foil stickers in silver suit the pale slide. Placements on the light part of the slide stay readable, while very colourful stickers can clash with the strict red and grey scheme.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position within the wear range, since the pale base shows every step of wear more than darker finishes.
  • Inspect the muzzle, the slide edges and the bottom of the magazine first, as they wear before the rest of the pistol.
  • Check whether the red stripes along the slide and grip are intact or chipped.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, and whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who like a used, track-worn look on a racing skin.
  • Buyers who want the livery clearly readable at a moderate cost.
  • A practical everyday option.
