Skin overview
The cobalt pixel camo is built from small blocks of dark and bright blue, which hides fine marks well. A Minimal Wear copy keeps the metallic shine and the clean contrast of the pattern, and the few light scuffs tend to blend into the busy squares. For most buyers it looks the same as the cleaner grade in hand.
Item type: pistol. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New and Field-Tested. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The slide, frame and grip are wrapped in one continuous digital camouflage of navy, cobalt and light blue squares with a metallic anodized sheen. Along the slide the pixels run in horizontal bands, and the engraved lettering stays visible through the pattern.
Light scuffs may appear on the front edge of the muzzle and the upper corners of the slide. The rest of the slide, the frame and the grip stay clean, and the sheen of the foil is preserved. At normal viewing distance these marks are hidden by the busy camo and the painted weathering, so the gun looks nearly identical to Factory New.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption is 0–0.2; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (40% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The eSports 2013 Winter Collection with 12 skins in total.
The source is eSports 2013 Winter Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).
What it costs in each quality
By price this skin is 3rd of 7 skins Classified Desert Eagle in this quality (the first being the dearest).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Silver, holo and blue-toned stickers blend with the cobalt camo, while white or gold accents stand out against it without clashing. Placements on the flat side of the slide work best, as the grip pattern is already busy.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in Field-Tested looks much closer to Minimal Wear.
- Look at the muzzle and the top edges of the slide, because these lose the finish first.
- Remember that the teal rust spots are part of the artwork and not damage.
- Check applied stickers and the name tag, as they change how the busy pattern reads.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a clean-looking Desert Eagle and do not inspect edges up close.
- Buyers who want almost the Factory New look at a lower grade.
- A sensible middle choice, since the camo hides the small marks.
