Skin overview

Desert Eagle | Pilot pairs a light steel slide with a brass inlay of pilot's wings around a star emblem near the muzzle, plus brass lines along the slide. In Factory New the brass is bright and the edges of the wings stay sharp. The steel looks even, and the brown grips read as clean and warm.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The slide is finished in light grey steel, with a brass inlay of pilot's wings around a star in a circle at the front and brass lines running back along its upper part. The frame and trigger guard stay in matching silver-grey, while the hammer, slide stop and trigger are picked out in brass.

The steel surfaces are even and the brass wings, star and lines keep their full shine. The front corners of the slide show no visible scuffs. In game the skin reads as clean polished metal with bright gold accents. All parts, including the grips, look untouched.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Pilot is 0–1; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (7% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir Desert Eagle | Pilot belongs to The Baggage Collection, which holds 15 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 12 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 7th by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, brass and holographic gold stickers echo the inlay, while brown, olive or black-and-white designs fit the military aviation theme. Placements along the slide behind the wings keep the star emblem visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float keeps the brass wings noticeably brighter.
  • Look at the front corners and upper edges of the slide, as they lose their finish first.
  • Inspect the brass inlay on the wings and lines for scratches or dulling.
  • Check whether the stickers or Souvenir markings on a given copy match the grey and brass scheme.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the brass wings at their brightest.
  • Sticker crafters planning gold-themed combinations on clean steel.
  • The choice for buyers who want the Pilot exactly as designed.
