Skin overview
Desert Eagle | Sputnik is a dark blue space design with satellite shapes, star textures and small gold details spread across slide, frame and grip. Because the skin's float range ends early, even Battle-Scarred keeps the main panels and colours visible, with heavier chipping concentrated on the muzzle, edges and grip.
Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The slide is painted deep navy with a scattered dotted texture, lighter blue rectangles and a few small yellow-gold blocks that read as satellite panels and lights. The frame and the rail under the barrel continue the dark blue base with pale blue patches, while the trigger and trigger guard area show bright metal tones.
Heavy chipping covers the muzzle, the slide edges, the rail and the trigger guard, and patches of metal appear on the grip and frame. Fine dotted textures fade where the paint thins. Since the float range ends early, the main panels and colours are still recognisable and the gun does not turn mostly silver. In game it reads as a rough, battle-used version of the same blue design.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Sputnik is 0–0.5; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.5 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir Desert Eagle | Sputnik belongs to The 2021 Train Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
Among 6 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Navy, light blue, silver and gold stickers blend with the space palette, and holo or foil stickers with a starry look suit the theme. Placements on the slide side next to the lighter panels keep the artwork balanced, while warm gold accents echo the small yellow details.
What to check before buying
- Look at the muzzle and the top edges of the slide, since they lose paint first on this finish.
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, because low-float copies of the worn grades look noticeably cleaner at the front.
- Souvenir copies exist, so check which stickers are applied and whether they fit your plans.
- Inspect the grip edges and trigger guard on Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies, where chipping spreads next.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget entry for players who want the design at the lowest grade.
- Buyers who like a rough look while keeping the main colours readable.
- The cheapest route to Sputnik that still looks recognisable.
