Skin overview
Sputnik is recognisable by its deep blue slide broken up by lighter panels, dotted textures and small yellow-gold blocks. In Field-Tested the space motif is still fully readable, while bare metal starts to show along the muzzle and slide edges, which suits the dark, technical look of the design.
Item type: pistol. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The slide is painted deep navy with a scattered dotted texture, lighter blue rectangles and a few small yellow-gold blocks that read as satellite panels and lights. The frame and the rail under the barrel continue the dark blue base with pale blue patches, while the trigger and trigger guard area show bright metal tones.
Chipping becomes noticeable around the muzzle, along the top edges of the slide and on the rail under the barrel, where silver metal shows through. Light marks can appear on the trigger guard and the lower grip edges. In game the space pattern is still clearly readable, and the wear blends with the dark palette. The flat sides of the slide and the centre of the grip remain mostly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Sputnik is 0–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The 2021 Train Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
What it costs in each quality
Among 11 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 9th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Navy, light blue, silver and gold stickers blend with the space palette, and holo or foil stickers with a starry look suit the theme. Placements on the slide side next to the lighter panels keep the artwork balanced, while warm gold accents echo the small yellow details.
What to check before buying
- Look at the muzzle and the top edges of the slide, since they lose paint first on this finish.
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, because low-float copies of the worn grades look noticeably cleaner at the front.
- Souvenir copies exist, so check which stickers are applied and whether they fit your plans.
- Inspect the grip edges and trigger guard on Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies, where chipping spreads next.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the full space pattern for everyday use.
- Buyers who like a bit of exposed metal on a dark design.
- A practical middle option for play.
