Skin overview

Urban Shock keeps its identity through the blue slides and grey city camo even in the roughest grade. The Battle-Scarred range is short for this skin, so copies look close to Well-Worn, with heavy wear on the slide edges and tops. It is the most affordable way to carry the blue-and-camo look.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

Both slides are painted a saturated cyan-blue, with blue rear serrations and patches of grey camo showing through on the top surfaces. The frames, trigger guards and grip panels carry an urban camo of grey, white and charcoal blocks, while the barrel tips and small controls stay dark.

Wear is at its heaviest: slide tops, edges and muzzles show a lot of bare metal through the blue. Frames and grips carry worn edges and dulled camo. Because the range for this grade is short, the difference from Well-Worn is modest. In game the blue-and-grey scheme still reads from a distance.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.47

The whole float range of Souvenir Dual Berettas | Urban Shock is 0–0.47; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.47 segment (4% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Chroma Collection with 14 skins in total.

It drops from Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

White, silver and blue stickers blend with the cool palette, while a single black or dark grey sticker on the frame keeps the camo calm. Holo or foil stickers in blue tones match the slides well.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the slide edges and tops change most between grades.
  • Inspect the slide tops and muzzle area in close view, as these lose the blue first.
  • Look at any applied stickers and how they sit against the blue slides and camo frames.
  • Decide whether you want StatTrak™ or Souvenir, as both versions exist for this skin.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget players looking for the cheapest entry to this skin.
  • Buyers who like heavy wear and do not mind bare metal on the slides.
  • The entry-level option, looking close to Well-Worn.
