Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of the Djinn, where the dark finish is broken up by scuffs across much of the rifle. The engraving survives mostly in recessed and less exposed areas. This grade is the cheapest way to own the skin and keeps its dark, gritty character in game.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The whole FAMAS is covered in a dark gunmetal patina, close to black, with a muted olive-gold engraved ornament of flowing, flame-like lines. The ornament wraps the long carry handle, runs along the receiver and spreads densely over the stock, where it forms the most detailed area of the pattern.
Scuffs cover much of the carry handle, stock, grip and magazine, breaking up the dark patina. The engraving is fragmented on exposed areas and survives mainly in recesses. In game the rifle reads as a battered dark weapon with only traces of the ornament. Less exposed parts of the receiver are the cleanest areas left.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Djinn is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir FAMAS | Djinn belongs to The Chroma 2 Collection, which holds 15 skins.
It drops from Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo-gold and dark stickers match the muted gold engraving and the near-black base. Placements along the receiver side keep the carry handle and stock ornament visible.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show less rubbing on the carry handle and stock.
- Look at the stock in inspect, as it carries the densest part of the engraving and shows wear clearly.
- Check the edges of the carry handle and magazine, which lose their finish first.
- Look at any applied stickers and name tag to make sure they suit the dark engraved style.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players looking for the most affordable way to use the skin.
- Those who like a battered dark rifle, including StatTrak™ copies for tracking kills.
- Conclusion: a budget entry that keeps the gritty character.
