Skin overview

The skin covers the whole FAMAS in warm feather shapes, with the owl's face placed on the stock as the focal point. In Minimal Wear the colours and linework look practically the same as on a fresh copy, and any marks sit on the very edges of the metal. Buyers usually take this grade to get an almost pristine look at a lower grade.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The base of the rifle is a dark teal-grey, covered almost everywhere with curved feather shapes in orange, red, brown and yellow. The stock holds the main motif: the mechanized owl with round yellow-orange eyes surrounded by layered feathers.

Tiny scratches may appear on the top edge of the carry handle and the tip of the muzzle. The owl and the stock artwork remain untouched. In game the difference from Factory New is hard to spot because the pattern is so busy. Colours stay fully saturated.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Eye of Athena is 0–0.7; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in orange, gold, brown or dark teal sit well with the feathered artwork. Placements on the receiver side work better than on the stock, where they would cover the owl.

What to check before buying

• Look at the float position within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep more of the owl artwork.
• Inspect the top of the carry handle and the magazine edges, which lose paint first.
• Check the owl's eyes on the stock, as they are the focal point of the design.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag and whether they suit the warm palette.
