Souvenir FAMAS | Meltdown (Factory New)

Skin overview

FAMAS | Meltdown covers the rifle in a dense pattern of small nuclear hazard symbols in yellow and olive green over a dark brown base. The metallic paint gives the pattern a soft sheen. In Factory New the symbols stay sharp and the colour fields keep a clean edge, so the busy print reads as one even, glossy surface.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Factory New

The whole body of the FAMAS, including the carry handle and the receiver, is covered with small yellow and olive-green nuclear hazard symbols packed tightly on a dark brown to black base. The metallic paint catches light, and orange accents appear near the front of the body and the handle.

The anodized layer is intact on every part of the rifle. The hazard symbols have crisp outlines and the metallic sheen is even across the handle, receiver and stock. In game the rifle looks glossy and saturated. Nothing on the body shows bare metal.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The float of Souvenir FAMAS | Meltdown ranges from 0 to 0.4; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 18% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The 2021 Train Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Price by quality

Among 3 skins of the FAMAS in the Classified grade and this quality, this skin is the most affordable.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Yellow, black and orange stickers fit the hazard theme and blend with the print. Holo or gold stickers on the carry handle side stand out against the dark base without clashing.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of a grade show noticeably more bare metal.
• Look at the top edge of the carry handle and the muzzle, as these parts lose paint first.
• Review applied stickers and a name tag in the inspect view, because they change the look of the busy pattern.
• Inspect the stock corners on worn copies to see how far the anodized layer has gone.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the cleanest, glossiest version of the hazard print.
• Sticker crafters who need an untouched base for a themed craft.
• The choice for those who want the finish exactly as intended.
