Skin overview

The skin is built on contrast: bright pink fragments break up a dark grey rifle like cracked glass. In Minimal Wear that contrast holds, with only faint marks on edges that are hard to spot without inspecting the model. It keeps nearly the full look of the cleanest grade.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The FAMAS has a dark gunmetal base covered with angular fuchsia and violet fragments. The carry handle and receiver carry the densest pink areas, while the stock shows a radiating cracked pattern like broken glass.

Light scuffs may appear on the top of the carry handle and the edge of the stock. The pink remains saturated and the pattern borders stay clean. In game at normal distance it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The magazine and receiver panels look untouched.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Pulse is 0–0.4; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (20% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

The skin’s collection is The Winter Offensive Collection with 13 skins in total.

It drops from Winter Offensive Weapon Case (on sale since Dec 18, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Pink, purple and black stickers blend with the fuchsia fragments and dark base. Holographic or foil stickers in violet tones suit the receiver side near the carry handle.

What to check before buying

• Check the float position within the wear grade, since a lower value keeps more pink on the carry handle.
• Inspect the top of the carry handle and the stock edges, where the paint chips first.
• Look at the magazine edges on worn copies, as grey patches there are visible in first person.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change the look and the value of a copy.
