Show allAllSkin overview
In Battle-Scarred the Sergeant finish turns into a heavily used dark rifle, with the patina thinned across the edges and the most exposed surfaces. The black and grey base is still readable, so the FAMAS looks rough rather than broken. It is the most affordable way into this skin and suits players who want the military motif at its most rugged.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and body of the FAMAS are covered in a near-black gunmetal patina with darker diagonal bands that create uneven depth across the surface. The carrying handle stays dark, with lighter steel showing along its outer edges, while the barrel and muzzle remain plain dark metal.
The patina is heavily thinned on all edges and raised parts, with wide areas of lighter metal on the carrying handle, receiver and magazine. The side panels of the body show uneven, blotchy coverage, and the original banding becomes hard to follow. In game the FAMAS looks rough and grey-streaked, though the dark base still dominates. Only the more recessed areas keep a clean, even tone.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Sergeant is 0.1–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (61% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir FAMAS | Sergeant belongs to The Phoenix Collection, which holds 13 skins.
It drops from Operation Phoenix Weapon Case (on sale since Feb 19, 2014).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
The dark gunmetal body works well with military-style stickers in olive, tan, silver or black, keeping the sober look intact. A single metallic or holo sticker on the side of the receiver adds contrast without breaking the theme, while bright multicoloured stickers tend to clash with the restrained finish.
What to check before buying
- The skin has no Factory New grade, so a low float within Minimal Wear is the cleanest look you can get.
- Check the carrying handle edges and the magazine first, as these show bare metal earliest.
- On Field-Tested copies compare floats in the inspect view, since the visible difference is small and paying more may not change much.
- Look at applied stickers and name tags, as they stand out strongly on the plain dark body.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Budget buyers looking for the cheapest entry into the skin.
- Players who want the most rugged version of the military motif.
- The choice for those who value character over a clean finish.
