Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns Valence into a heavily used rifle, where the red line work survives only in fragments and the grey surface is covered in scratches. The orange-red details still hint at the original design, but the overall look is rough and worn. This is the cheapest way to have the skin in the inventory.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and the long carry handle are finished in dark gunmetal grey, crossed by thin red lines that run along the contours like circuit traces. The charging handle and the bolt rod are bright orange-red, and an orange honeycomb-like band sits along the side of the body above the trigger guard.

Wear covers the carry handle, stock, barrel and magazine, and the red line work survives only in fragments. Scratches spread across the receiver and grip, and the grey base looks patchy. In game the rifle appears rough, with only the orange details hinting at the original design. Small recessed areas near the bolt keep some of their colour.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, black and dark metallic stickers match the grey base and red line work without breaking the scheme. Orange accents can echo the barrel and charging handle, while placing stickers on the receiver side keeps the carry handle pattern visible.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float keeps the red lines on the carry handle noticeably cleaner.
• Look at the top of the carry handle and the stock edges first, as these lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
• Inspect applied stickers and any name tag, because they change both the look and the value of the copy.
